Interview Summary

Wayne Collins talks about life in several different sections of Jenkins and Van Lear, Kentucky. He talks about his job as a chemical plant worker for Consolidation Coal Company and Beth-Elkhorn Coal Company. He talks about his relationships with the companies. He talks about his family, including stories about various family members' experiences during World War I and II. He talks about religion in Jenkins, shopping and company stores, and mine accidents. He talks about European immigrants in Jenkins and Neon, Kentucky.
