Interview Summary

This interview with Qazi Moinuddin Ahmad begins with an overview of his biographical information and a discussion of his family, as well as his secular and religious education. He then moves on to discuss his involvement in the Pakistan movement. The interviewer and Ahmad talk about Forman Christian College in Lahore (Pakistan) and his reflections on Indian independence in 1947. He also talks about meeting Mahomed Ali Jinnah and Chaudhry Khaliquzzaman, both of whom are founding fathers of Pakistan. Next, Ahmad talks about his family, including his son and daughter, as well as his wife. He discusses his support of Fatima Jinnah, who ran for prime minister. The interview then moves on to talk about Aligarh Muslim University, which Ahmad attended in the 1940s. Finally, he discusses the importance of Islam to his identity and life.
