Interview Summary

Parrish discusses her acquaintance with Robert Penn Warren, whom she met while working as his teaching assistant at the University of Minnesota. Warren's professorial style is recalled, as well as his treatment of the students. Warren's personal side is explored, along with a brief literary analysis by Parrish. The structure of the English Department during Warren's tenure is also discussed.
