Interview Summary

This interview with Eastern Kentucky resident Lillian Cody begins with a discussion of when and where she was born. She talks about her education, as well as how her family earned a living. She also discusses her first job washing dishes for ten cents an hour. Next, Cody moves on to her adulthood. She talks about her marriage and a subsequent move to Ohio. She also talks about her church involvement, as well as how her family obtained food. Finally, Cody ends the interview with talking about the plight facing veterans, a cause that she finds particularly salient because her husband was a Korean War veteran. She then talks about the death of her daughter in an automobile accident.
