At the time of this interview, Lois Mateus is an honorary board member for the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft in Louisville, Kentucky. In this interview, she discusses her background in the arts and crafts field. She talks about First Lady of Kentucky Phyllis George Brown's influence on the marketing of the Kentucky craft industry. She discusses the origins of the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft, its mission and goals, its exhibits and permanent collection, and its marketing strategies and appeal to tourists.
