Interview Summary

Phil Kabakoff is the grandson of Solomon and Rebecca Kabakoff who lived and worked at 3 West McMicken, the home of the Over-the-Rhine Museum. In this first of two interviews, Phil shares recollections of his family ties and of the building. He talks about the life and work of his father Herman Kabakoff, as well as his uncle Max from whom he learned printing in Over-the-Rhine. Phil also describes Jewish life in and around Avondale and some family connections in the wider region.
