Interview Summary
Thomas W. Samuel (Liberia, 1965-1967; Public Administration Program) discusses his life and educational background before joining the Peace Corps. He discusses the positions he has held at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, the Council for the Treasury in Tennessee, and the University of Kentucky. As the father of two daughters who also joined the Peace Corps, Samuel reflects on the differences between the Peace Corps in the 1960s and the 2000s. He also describes the value of the Peace Corps to the U.S. and meeting and marrying his wife, Susan, in Liberia.Interview Accession
