Interview Summary

Alice Chandler describes her mother's artistic tendencies and her father, Hal Price Headley's involvement in the horse industry, participating heavily in horse racing and sales and as one of the main leaders of Keeneland racetrack. Chandler discusses establishing Mill Ridge Farm and how she was able to make it as big of an operation as it is today. She discusses horse breeding, racing, and sales. She discusses her involvement with the Kentucky Thoroughbred Association, as well as issues affecting the horse industry such as the doping of horses and slot machines at race tracks.
