Interview Summary
Haight discusses growing up in Pennsylvania and Kentucky and the ways in which her family and community would deal with waste disposal. She describes her role with PRIDE and Morehead State University as well as how the efforts by both organizations have affected Rowan County. Haight describes the issues surrounding water quality in Kentucky, including failing sewer infrastructure and poor ground conditions for septic systems. She discusses other major sources of pollution in the county and how she feels PRIDE has and will continue to affect the area, both in regard to environmental cleanup and citizen awareness of environmental issues.Interview Accession
