Silberman discusses his early life in New York and Chattanooga, Tennessee; his early career in Chattanooga as a teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent; his nine-year tenure as superintendent of Daviess County schools in Kentucky, during which time he was honored as Kentucky Superintendent of the Year; his seven years as superintendent of Fayette County Schools (again named Kentucky Superintendent of the Year); and his leadership of the Prichard Committee from 2011-2015.Interview Accession
