Interview Summary
William H. Wilson was a student at the University of Kentucky during its early days of desegregation. In this interview, he discusses his childhood and education in Lexington, Kentucky. He talks about his decision to attend first Kentucky State University, then the University of Kentucky and his experiences as an African American man during the school's integration period. He talks about his experiences with racism and discrimination, his social life on campus, his father's work at UK and his treatment there as an African American man, and his feelings on his overall experience at UK.Interview Accession
