Interview Summary
Soderlund discusses a few of the specific quilts she has made, including one made in her mother's memory, one called "Covenant" and one called "The Fathoms, They Abide." She talks about the importance of quilting for women in that it provides sisterhood and a creative outlet. She describes some of the factors that she thinks make a quilt artistic, such that it has the heart of the quiltmaker in it as well as skill to the extent that it allows the vision to show through.Interview Accession
