Interview Summary

Virginia Bailey Page (November 3, 1933 – January 17, 1997) talks about growing up in Logan County, Kentucky. Page explains how the only African American people she saw growing up lived and worked on her grandfather's farm. She goes on to tell stories about her relationship with the African American maid at her grandfather's farm. Page says that her grandfather treated all his employees like family regardless of their ethnicity. Page remembers what she can about the lynching that happened before she was born in Logan County. She also says she remembers some of the Browder family who were associated with the victims of the lynching.
