Interview Summary

John W. Hanes discusses the creation of the New York Racing Association and his own involvement in the organization. He discusses the Association's relationship with the New York legislature and how it changed over time. He talks about his involvement with horse breeding, training, and racing, and his eventual resignation from the NYRA.
