Interview Summary
Calvin Smith was born and raised in Stamping Ground, Kentucky. In this interview, he discusses his childhood, farming, and his later career with the fire department and in law enforcement as a sheriff and chief of police. He describes the day of the Stamping Ground tornado in 1974, including his own injuries, the injuries of others, and the damage to homes and other structures.
