Interview Summary

James discusses spending time inside the Etowah, Tennessee train depot when he was a child, as well as helping his father and grandfather in the rail yards. He also talks about how he began the "Save the Depot" campaign and the process of getting the depot restored. The pride of growing up in a railroad family as well as the pride the railroad workers exhibited regarding their jobs is emphasized greatly and James's emotions about these subjects are conveyed in detail.
