Project: Savor: Immigrant Entrepreneur Oral History Project

Interview Summary

Fore talks about being born in Lexington, Kentucky to immigrant parents from Sri Lanka, growing up speaking English as her first language, the care packages she received in college, and learning to cook Sri Lankan foods. She also discusses trips to her parents' homeland of Sri Lanka, cooking at parties in Boston, Massachusetts, and moving back to Lexington and opening a food tent. She talks about introducing new flavors blended with flavors of the South familiar to locals.
