Interview Summary
An assistant professor in the Sociology Department at the University of Kentucky since 1976, Dr. Brooks graduated from Texas Tech University with both a bachelor's and master's degrees in sociology, and received his doctorate at Ohio State University in 1970. He formerly taught at the University of Tennessee before accepting his present position. Dr. Brooks is also the director of Undergraduate Studies at U.K.. Dr. Brooks discusses a study he conducted regarding housing discrimination in Lexington, the societal consequences of this particular prejudice, and the community reaction to the study.Interview Accession
