Interview Summary
John Boswell is the chairman of the board of Independent Stave Company. In this interview he discusses growing up being part of the family business and describes his father and grandfather and their contributions to the business. He talks about his college education and coming back to run the family business. He discusses his own contributions to the industry and talks about introducing his son to the family business. He talks about his relationships with bourbon distillers and tells stories about Booker Noe and Max Shapira. He talks about the differences between the bourbon and wine industries and why bourbon is a product of Kentucky. He discusses his accomplishments, including being inducted into the Bourbon Hall of Fame, and talks about the benefits of running a family business.Interview Accession
