Interview Summary
Lindsay (House 1970-1979; 1994-2006, 11th district; Democrat) recalls growing up in Henderson, Kentucky, taking advantage of travel and cultural opportunities during his military service, law school and practice. He discusses early interest in political office, factions in the Democratic Party, the decision to leave the legislature and his later return, legislative independence, economic development legislation, representing the LRC in a lawsuit, the changes brought by allowing legislators to have individual office space, and changes in the legislature over the years.Interview Accession
