Interview Summary
Al Schmitt discusses working in Los Angeles as an independent sound engineer. He begins by discussing his time working with Jefferson Airplane, and goes into some the detail about how he would record and work with them. They then move on to discussing studios that were in business when he first moved to Los Angeles, and the roles he feels that professional audio engineering societies play in the industry.
