Interview Summary
Hare discusses his personal relationship with Happy Chandler and his family, including his time traveling and playing golf with Chandler. He mentions some "colorful" incidents that Chandler has been involved in and describes Chandler's campaigning and public speaking skills, including his strong ability to read the crowd and respond to get them engaged. He discusses Chandler's relationship with George Wallace as a potential running mate for president. He describes Chandler's friendships, calling Chandler a very loyal and just man who will do anything for his friends.
