Interview Summary
Aijaz Fatima, a Pakistani doctor, begins the interview by discussing her early life and education in India. Fatima then details her experiences at Aligarh Muslim University, as well as an exploration of her religious background. Next, the interviewee provides firsthand accounts of what it was like to live in India during the post-partition era. Fatima's favorite teacher at university is also recalled. Additionally, Fatima's medical career in Pakistan is highlighted, paired with Aligarh Muslim University's connections to the partition movement. Secondly, the university and its efforts to educate women are praised. Subsequently, the interviewee talks of Pakistan as a nation, focusing upon the challenges it faces, its history, and the goals of the original founders. Methods for Pakistanis to achieve the visions of the founders are also listed. Finally, the interviewer reveals why she chose Aligarh and the university as a research subject.Interview Accession
