Interview Summary
Jimmy Russell is a Master Distiller at Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. In this interview he discusses his beginnings at Wild Turkey and how the distillery has changed since he began working there. He talks about changes in the bourbon industry and discusses new trends including consumers becoming more knowledgeable about the product, and the popularity of the bourbon tourism industry. He talks about how he became a master distiller and the awards he has received from the industry. He talks about his family's involvement in Wild Turkey and the camaraderie among Kentucky bourbon distillers.Interview Accession
