Interview Summary
Art Hansen's career focus is on forced migration and resettlement. He served on the faculty of the University of Florida and Clark Atlanta University. In the interview, Hansen and Rees first discuss what brought Hansen to the field of anthropology and the early state of applied anthropology in the 1970s. Hanson describes his unexpected dissertation that focused on refugees in Zambia and his interest in studying the impact of war on the socialization of youth.
