Project: Lansdowne Neighborhood Association Oral History Project
Interview Summary
Pat Esrael has been a resident of the Lansdowne Neighborhood for over 20 years and is a member of the Lansdowne Neighborhood Association (LNA). She has served on the LNA board for six years and talks about the various issues that have been and are being addressed by the LNA over the years that she has seen it grow form a small "picnic group" to a very large and active neighborhood association. Pat was a public school teacher at Southern Junior High School from the day it was built and talks about how it was a "true" community school with the parents from the greater Lansdowne area being very involved in every aspect of the school. She also talked about what downtown Lexington was like growing up on Victory Avenue with her grandparents.Interview Accession
