Interview Summary
Charles Mathias, a former Senator from Maryland, begins the interview by detailing Cooper's role in getting the Cooper-Church Amendment passed in 1970. Mathias describes an effort he led to repeal the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution. Cooper's stance on the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution is also mentioned.
