Interview Summary
Whitis discusses the programs that he has worked on with Personal Responsibility in a Desirable Environment (PRIDE) in McCreary County, as well as the progress that has been made in the county. He describes his personal history as well as his work at the McCreary County Cooperative Extension. Among the environmental education programs he discusses, he describes in detail a program that helps children build birdhouses. Whitis also offers his thoughts on what the future holds for McCreary County in regard to environmental education and cleanup. He describes the impact PRIDE has had on the county and the value of PRIDE as a program.Interview Accession
