Interview Summary
Joe Maguire graduated from Good Shepherd High School in Frankfort, KY. in 1964. He enrolled at the University of Kentucky in the fall of 1965 and graduated with a degree in History in 1981. While at U.K. he was a member of Student Government, a member of Students for Action and Responsibility (SAR), and ran unsuccessfully with Thomas Patrick Juul for Student Government Vice President and President respectively in 1968. In this interview he discusses the Kent State University shootings, the protests at U.K., and the events of early May, 1970.Interview Accession
