Interview Summary
Carolyn Hammer is the founder and Press director of the King Library Press at the University of Kentucky. In this interview she discusses the beginning of the Press in the 1950s with a group of people who became known as High Noon Press. She talks about the group's evolution into the King Library Press and discusses each project they have printed over the years. She discusses the various types of presses that have been operated at the King Library Press, and the techniques used to create the products. She talks about the people who have worked at the Press since its inception, including staff, volunteers, and apprentices.Interview Accession
