Interview Summary
Ellen Leslie Bush talks about her experiences at Club Au Go Go, Bradley Picklesimer's club, which she describes as a punk, alternative music club. She talks about some of the bands she saw perform there. Bush talks about the eclectic and diverse crowds at Café LMNOP, which she says was largely due to Bradley Picklesimer's personality. She talks about the different types of people at Café LMNOP and how they all got along. She talks about Café LMNOP as a place to get away from ordinary life, and that the magic of the club was that people were accepted for who they were. Bush names some of the bands that played at Café LMNOP and discusses the various genres of music the bands played. She talks about a Fourth of July parade the club participated in, during which drag queens dressed as mermaids, which scandalized the general public.Interview Accession
