Interview Summary
Cheryl Ann Holden talks about how she first learned of the Christian Appalachian Project and what she knew about the Appalachian Region before she got there and how that changed when she arrived. Holden describes her experience arriving in Kentucky and the various responsibilities she had while volunteering with the Christian Appalachian Project. Holden talks about her negative experience with Father Beiting and trying to urge him to educate the people in the Appalachian Region so that they may help themselves. She talks briefly about the Christian Appalachian Project being a nondenominational organization rather than solely Catholic. Holden talks about the newsletters she receives from the Christian Appalachian Project and how it represents the Appalachian people.Interview Accession
