Interview Summary
Armstrong Cheggeh was born in the Kikuyu village of Mbau-ini in Central Kenya in 1956 and walked between 12 and 15 miles each day to attend primary and secondary school. He attended Scott Theological College for two years before coming to the U.S. where he obtained his B.A. and M.A. before returning to Kenya. He served in the Kenya Assembly of God Church before forming in 1998 the Fountain of Life Church International which has grown to over 300 congregations in six countries. He returned to the U.S. to get his Doctor of Ministry from Asbury Seminary in 2004 and has remained in Kentucky. As the presiding bishop of his church, he travels frequently to Africa and hopes to build a pastoral leadership center in Kenya.Interview Accession
