Interview Summary

Diane Disbrow, who is 54 years old, was affected by Superstorm Sandy. She has lived in Tuckerton for about forty years. Disbrow is a real estate broker with four offices in the area. She prepared for the storm by helping her mother- and father-in-law get valuable things out of their house. Disbrow also made sure her offices and real estate agents were safe and secure.

During and after the storm many people stayed at Disbrow's house. She had a generator, so they were able to stay warm and cook. Disbrow started the cleanup process with her family first. She focused on making sure everyone had a place to go. Disbrow also states that many people, such as the Girl Scouts, helped out the Atlantic City Rescue Mission. Disbrow thinks that the storm has changed the landscape in the area forever, and things still have not returned to normal.
