Interview Summary
In this interview, A. D. Albright talks about University of Kentucky basketball coach Adolph Rupp. Albright describes Rupp as smart, persistent, and sometimes stubborn. He discusses the influence of the basketball program on UK's image. Albright explains the problems caused by the lack of African Americans on the team, and attempts to integrate the team. Albright also describes other athletic teams at UK, and recalls the relationship between the football coach Charles I. Bradshaw and UK President John Oswald.Interview Accession
