Interview Summary
Rose Lee Maphis talks about her childhood and her introduction to music. She talks about the formation of the band The Four Girls, which consisted of Maphis, Mary and Dottie Klick, and Betty Ann Gower. She discusses their experiences recording music, working for radio station WRBA, and touring. She talks about meeting her husband, fellow musician Joe Maphis. She talks about performing with her husband, and writing and recording music. For the last portion of the interview, Maphis examines old photographs and explains their contents.Interview Accession
