Interview Summary
Elizabeth Kalashnikoff first met Mary Breckinridge while serving as Harper and Brothers editor for the publication of Wide Neighborhoods. She recalls Breckinridge as an enjoyable, imaginative person with "a fine mind." Kalashnikoff discusses her work with Breckinridge on the composition of the book. Following its publication, the two maintained a social relationship for many years.Interview Accession
