Project: OutrageUS Oral History Project
Interview Summary
T.K. Logan interviews Kathy Phillips, a state prosecutor of domestic violence cases in Kentucky. Phillips discusses the role stalking plays in domestic violence cases, as it is rare that a stalking case is between two people without a prior or ongoing relationship. She talks about the unique nature of prosecuting stalking cases, as many cases are based on circumstantial evidence or lack victim cooperation. She discusses the differences between the popular idea of stalking and how stalking is defined in Kentucky law.
