Interview Summary

William Tucker, born in Louisville, Ky on July 26, 1925, served in the Army as a Corporal. Tucker served from November 13, 1943 to April 17, 1946 in W.W. II. Tucker went to Camp Croft in South Carolina for his basic training, then he was sent to Fort Ord where he was put on a ship to New Guinea. Tucker also spent time in Bougainville and Manila, the capital city of the Philippines. Tucker received several medals for his time in the service including the bronze star for good conduct.
