Interview Summary
Jonathan Johnson attended graduate school at the University of Kentucky from 2002-2004. In this interview he discusses his family background and childhood in Alabama. He talks about why he chose to attend Berea College for his undergraduate education, and describes his experiences there. He compares these experiences to his experience at UK, stating that he felt a lack of support at UK and had difficulty gaining access to resources. He talks about the lack of diversity at UK, the challenges he faced there, and says he did not form a connection with the university. He talks about what UK could do to assist students and increase the diversity of the institution. He compares his experiences at UK to his experiences as a doctoral student at the University of Louisville.Interview Accession
