Interview Summary
Host tells the story of the creation of the Kentucky Horse Park and how it became the first North American location of the World Equestrian Games. He explains the need for a horse park because of the closing of the horse farms to the public. The horse park would become the hub for horse-related tourism. Host explains the process of working with Pearse Lyons of Alltech and how he was able to secure his sponsorship of the World Equestrian Games. Host also explains the process of getting a bid to be the location of the World Equestrian Games, using the connection of the Sheikh who owns two farms in Kentucky and serves on the game's committee. Host finishes up by talking about the horse park and how it can continue towards a bright future. He talks about how proud he is of it and is happy he could be a part of it.Interview Accession
