Interview Summary

Carrie Wells discusses growing up in Johnson County, Kentucky, studying architecture at the University of Kentucky, and dealing with mental health issues that run in her family. She is currently working to open a dialogue about mental health, particularly among young people. She also talks at length about reproductive health issues in Eastern Kentucky and her work with the Eastern Kentucky Reproductive Health Project of the Appalachian Media Institute.
