Interview Summary
In this interview, Beatriz "Betty" Prieto Abdmishani, a Lexington, Kentucky librarian, talks about her life as a child in Cuba, then leaving Cuba during the revolution to live in Miami, Florida. She discusses cultural changes for her and her family. Abdmishani also describes her life as young wife and mother during the Iranian Revolution and returning to the United States, only to leave again for Iran to help her husband come to the United States. In closing, she discusses her family's move from Kentucky to Oregon and back to Kentucky.Interview Accession
