Interview Summary

Genevieve Clark describes her family as well as her childhood on a tobacco farm in Powersville, Kentucky. Clark describes her academic career at Georgetown College, where she was a student. Later she was employed by the college, first to assist in the biology department laboratory and then later was an assistant professor in biology. Clark describes her introduction in the early 1970s to the Town and Country Club, which served as a way for women in Scott County to gain leadership skills, form friendships, and create various craft projects. Clark describes the merging of four homemakers clubs into the one club found in Georgetown, Kentucky today.
