Interview Summary
Jomo K. Thompson was a cheerleader at the University of Kentucky beginning in 1996. He became the head coach of UK Cheerleading in 2002. In this interview, he discusses his early life, attending the University of Florida, and how he became involved in cheerleading. He talks about his experience with the University of Kentucky cheerleading team, first as a team member, then as an assistant coach, and currently as the head coach. He talks about the team's successes and losses, how the team has changed over time, and what cheerleading means to people.Interview Accession
