Interview Summary
Lucy Altemus served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Sustainable Agriculture program in the community of Sasapud in the Chimborazo province in Ecuador from 2008-2010. She and her husband, Craig Adams, lived and also served in San Bernardo. Lucy found her work to be much more than just sustainable agriculture, also teaching English, and creating opportunities for community members that led beyond her service. Lucy and Craig returned to Ecuador to live in Cuenca and opened a cafe called the WindHorse Cafe until they returned to the US just before the pandemic.Interview Accession
