Interview Summary
Dr. Plummer is the former head of the University of Kentucky Journalism Department, and his wife is the daughter of former dean of the College of Commerce Edward Wiest. In this interview they discuss the history of the Department of Journalism at UK. Plummer talks about some of the controversial articles written in the student newspaper the Kentucky Kernel over the years. They discuss UK administrators and faculty, including Dean Wiest, Dr. Best, and Dr. Funkhouser, among others. They tell personal anecdotes about UK President Dr. Frank McVey.Interview Accession
