Interview Summary
Cindy Duerson LaRue attended the University of Kentucky from the fall of 1979 until her graduation in the spring of 1983. In this interview she discusses her family background, her early education, and why she chose to attend UK. She talks about her experiences on the first day of classes, and discusses how she was treated by her classmates and faculty as a minority student. She discusses race relations in Lexington. She talks about her career since graduation, working as a sales representative at IBM and Xerox, before becoming the Diversity Enrollment Coordinator at UK.Interview Accession
