Interview Summary
Joseph Willis Ward, born in Conrad, Montana on August 23, 1942, served in the United States Air Force during peacetime. Ward?s service started on June 6, 1960 and ended March 1964. Ward completed basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas and studied the Russian language at Indiana University. Ward was deployed overseas to Tokyo, Japan where he worked as a Voice Intercept Processor. After leaving the military, Ward pursued a career in Journalism and got a job at the Courier-Journal in Louisville, Kentucky.Interview Accession
