Interview Summary
George Purcell, a dairy farmer in Greyhawk, Kentucky, discusses the operations and the history of his dairy farm with interviewer Glen Taul. He also talks about the farm's history in relation to the Christian Appalachian Project (CAP), as the farm used to be where the headquarters of CAP were located. He discusses his personal relationship with Fr. Ralph Beiting throughout his youth. Purcell recalls Fr. Beiting's influence on the Appalachian region and Fr. Beiting's leadership in the formation of several programs which would later become part of CAP: the Bible schools, the Catholic elementary schools, and the Cliffview Lodge summer camp.Interview Accession
